Keymer & Hassocks vs AFC Grinstead
Div 3

K & H concluded their league campaign with 3-1 win at home to AFC Grinstead.

K & H took the lead early on-a good move involving Duncan O'Reilly Jo Davey Gregor Ross and finally Toby Raftery who
held off his defender to net in the the far corner.AFC struck back with a long ball that almost caught out the K & H defence but keeper Craig Jackson tipped the resulting shot over.

However AFC were soon back in it as a ridiculous defensive mix up left them with an open goal which they took quick advantage of.

Toby Raftery ended a fine run hitting the post while at the other end K & H were saved by a lucky rebound into keeper  Jackson's hands when it could easily have gone in,but the home side finally went in front when Ross converted a penalty after he was fouled in the box.

The second half saw AFC taking the game to K & H but the back four with their MOM Captain Ben Watson outstanding
dealt well with the pressure although Jackson had to be alert when a shot from outside the area almost crept in at the angle.

K & H were now trying to hit on the break and  seemed destined to increase their lead when a Davey piledriver rattled the bar only to bounce back off the line and the AFC keeper also had to push another effort on to the bar under pressure.

Several of the K & H players were now starting to feel the pace although the introduction of Dave Edwards boosted the running in midfield and he eventually set up the decider with a pass to Toby Raftery who gratefully picked his spot from the edge of the area.
