Keymer & Hassocks vs Uckfield

K & H lost out to Uckfield 2-1-a poor game with a rubbish outcome.
K & H had several regulars out and had to change their style of play somewhat.It took a while to get into their stride which they did when Ian Parsons picked out Rob Kift with a superb through ball and he made no mistake from just outside the area.James Harris should have scored with a unchallenged header just yards out but the ball was headed down and bounced over the bar.So 1-0 at half time and we approached the second half with reasonable confidence.
It was clear from the restart that Uckfield had perhaps conserved their energy better as they started to dominate territorially but the K & H defence appeared to be coping ok until Gary Thomas came out to gather a high ball which he caught only to be barged into by an Uckfield player which caused him to drop the ball and it rolled into the net.Unbelievably the Ref awarded a goal later explaining he was un-sighted.Uckfield knew it was a foul but rubbed it in with their celebrations.To make matters worse they went on to win taking advantage of a bad bounce in the six yard box which causing pink shirted manager to dance with delight!!
