Uckfield vs Keymer & Hassocks
Div 1

K & H travelled to Uckfield hoping to reverse the outcome of their earlier meeting .

It seems they had some players missing this time and K & H found they had plenty of possession with Duncan O’Reilly playing as an out and out overlapping full back

Despite this the home defence seemed to cope quite well with anything thrown at them until Joe Davey went past 5 men on a solo run but when only a yard out his touch deserted him and the keeper was able to rescue the situation.Uckfield then lost their influential captain through injury but despite this continued to repel any K & H attacks until one of their defenders handled in the area and Rob Kift duly converted

K & H felt they could now relax a little but O’Reilly did so too much as he completely misjudged the flight of a ball letting a forward in behind him-although he managed to get back he was done again as the player drove firmly home-a schoolboy error according to non-playing captain Ben Watson

So to the second half Kift again with a smart finish from an Ian Parsons through ball and Joe Davey latching onto a Kift miskick.Uckfield fought back with two well taken corners converting from the second.

Their tails were now up but they were deflated shortly after when a Stuart Thompson corner went straight in at the near post.Kift then scored the goal of the game-superb control before smashing the ball into the far corner and finished with another penalty after Parsons was brought down
