Lindfield vs Keymer & Hassocks
Div 1

K & H travelled to Lindfield for the 3rd meeting of the season and as is the custom on this pitch determined to defend the slope till half time but in the event they took the lead through Lewis Taylor and reached the break in confident mood for the second half

That seemed justified as Taylor put Peter Williamson in for a fine finish early on  but matters then took an unexpected turn as stand in keeper James Harris was deemed to have brought down an opponent who  seemed to be going nowhere when he nosedived into the turf and won a penalty as well as getting Harris booked. They duly converted but the same player then appeared to be overly aggressive in trying to retrieve the ball and rather unusually was sent off by the Ref presumably for violent conduct on the say so of the K & H lino

That should have sealed the game for K & H but the Lindfield lads lifted their game making K & H look ragged and it was perhaps no surprise when they conceded a scruffy equaliser near the end.K & H felt a little down but then remembered they hardly ever get a result on this pitch so a draw was maybe not too bad an outcome
