Keymer & Hassocks vs Furnace Green Galaxy

K & H returned to the Adastra for the first time in months for their encounter with Furnace Green Galaxy.Despite having been rolled the surface was surprisingly bumpy which made it difficult for both sides-the FGG lads seemed to cope better with the conditions however and pushed K & H back with some quick attacks.Their passing game was superior to K & H who were struggling to put any moves together but nevertheless it was they who took the lead when Lewis Taylor got control of the ball just outside the area and noticing the keeper well off his line lobbed the ball home.
The second half remained somewhat scrappy although K & H started to settle into some sort of rhythm with a few chances now being fashioned but the FGG keeper was having a good game and the best effort a drive from Toby Raftery was turned over .The game was settled with a truly special goal when full back Adam Ewens ventured forward and finding himself with time and space unleashed a drive from twenty five yards which cleared the keepers despairing fingertips and nestled firmly in the top corner.
K & H now started to relax feeling they had done enough but where rocked when FGG pulled one back with a really well taken effort-the forward splitting the home defence and firing home from close range.The last 15 minutes were a little nervous for K & H but they managed to see the game out.
